MSHA training for Fort Meade and the Florida phosphate district
Part 48 training for phosphate mines, draglines, and beneficiation plants, plus Part 46 training for the sand and gravel pits across Polk and Hardee counties.
Areas we serve
Training and field services where your crews work.
The phosphate district around Fort Meade is one of the largest mining areas east of the Mississippi, and its dragline, pit, and plant crews answer to federal MSHA training rules just like a hard rock quarry. We run the Part 48 program those operations need, and the Part 46 program for the sand and gravel pits that supply construction across central Florida.
Florida phosphate mining is matrix mining: draglines strip overburden, the matrix goes to a washer plant through a slurry line, and the beneficiated rock moves on to fertilizer plants. Phosphate rock is not on the Part 46 commodity list, so these mines and their processing plants fall under Part 48 metal and nonmetal training, where new miners need 24 hours, experienced miners need 8, and every miner needs an 8-hour annual refresher. Sand, gravel, and crushed limestone pits in the same counties are Part 46 operations.
We come to you
Every service on this page travels. We teach classes in your shop, trailer, or pit parking lot in Fort Meade, write plans from your own records, and perform evaluations on your equipment. Travel is quoted up front, with no per-mile surprise on the invoice.
Live instructor-led, never computer-based
When you train online, an MSHA instructor teaches the class live on camera in real time. There are no self-paced modules, recorded videos, or slideshow quizzes, and miners can ask questions and get answers the same day.

How classes run
We train crews across Polk, Hardee, Hillsborough, Manatee, DeSoto, and Highlands counties, including Fort Meade, Bartow, Mulberry, and Wauchula. Live online classes run on Eastern time, and on-site dates are available at your mine or plant.
Live online classes are taught in real time by an MSHA instructor, never as a self-paced computer-based course, and require a computer, webcam, and valid photo ID. Every miner leaves with a certificate and a 5000-23 form filed to your training records.
