Areas we serve

Training and field services where your crews work.

Brazoria County produces the sand, gravel, and industrial minerals that keep the Gulf Coast building and manufacturing, and its crews work schedules that leave little room for travel. We keep classes on a fixed calendar so a new hire can be trained before the next shift.

Freeport area mining includes sand and gravel dredging along the Brazos and coastal drainages, industrial sand and mineral processing plants, crushed shell and caliche operations, and the terminals that move aggregate by barge. Surface sand, gravel, and industrial mineral operations sit under Part 46, with 24 hours of new miner training, 8 hours for experienced miners, and an 8-hour annual refresher. Underground and non-Part 46 mineral work follows Part 48.

We come to you

Every service on this page travels. We teach classes in your shop, trailer, or pit parking lot in Freeport, write plans from your own records, and perform evaluations on your equipment. Travel is quoted up front, with no per-mile surprise on the invoice.

Live instructor-led, never computer-based

When you train online, an MSHA instructor teaches the class live on camera in real time. There are no self-paced modules, recorded videos, or slideshow quizzes, and miners can ask questions and get answers the same day.

How classes run

We train crews across Brazoria, Galveston, Matagorda, Fort Bend, and Wharton counties, including Freeport, Lake Jackson, Clute, Angleton, and Sweeny. Online live classes run on Central time, and on-site dates are available for plant and dredge crews.

Live online classes are taught in real time by an MSHA instructor, never as a self-paced computer-based course, and require a computer, webcam, and valid photo ID. Every miner leaves with a certificate and a 5000-23 form filed to your training records.
